The Motor Effect | GCSE Physics
The motor effect is the term used when a current-carrying wire in the presence of a magnetic field experiences a force. Later, in this video you, should be able to understand a motor effect, you should be able to determine the direction of the force by using Fleming’s left hand rule and how to calculate the size of the force.
Wscienceith Fleming’s left hand rule we can determine direction of electromagnetic force. Shown in this example, thumb points up because of Fleming’s left hand rule and direction of motion of wire carrying current is upwards.
